Ours didn’t start with sparks or dramatic moments.
One of us was the gangan drummer boy, faithfully doing his thing. The other? The lady who always sat in the corner, consistent, observant, and minding her business. Same church. Same services. Same space. Different lanes.
Somewhere along the line, we became friends. No pressure. No agenda. Just genuine conversations that made sense. Friendship slowly turned into us talking about life, especially careers. We became each other’s career advisers, checking ideas, sharing opportunities, and pushing one another to do better. No competition, just support.
Then leadership happened.
Before we could even overthink it, we were selected as Youth President and Vice President. That season showed us something important, we worked well together. Planning, serving, leading, disagreeing, resolving, laughing. It was a partnership without the title.
And somewhere between meetings, service, and honest conversations, it became clear:
This was more than friendship.
What started from church corners turned into a shared purpose.
What started as advice turned into a vision.
What started as “we” quietly became forever.
Now, we’re no longer just serving side by side, we’re choosing each other for life.
